Apprenticeship Grants Performance Reporting

The Office of Apprenticeship is providing the following resources to assist grantees with quarterly performance reporting in the Workforce Integrated Performance System (WIPS).

These resources will also help grantees with programming their reporting management information systems in preparation for quarterly report production for WIPS. The following grantees will use these resources:

  • Apprenticeship State Expansion (ASE) Grants
  • State Apprenticeship Expansion 2020 (SAE 2020) Grants
  • Youth Apprenticeship Readiness Grants (YARG)
  • State Apprenticeship Expansion, Equity and Innovation Grants (SAEEI)

  • A new WIPS Designation Form has replaced the WIPS Designation Letter! Beginning September 1, 2021, Grantee Authorized Representatives should use this new PDF form to request WIPS access for the ASE, SAE2020, SAEEI, and YARG Apprenticeship Grants. This form is used to designate staff who will submit data into WIPS and certify the Quarterly Performance Report and the Quarterly Narrative Report. The form allows Authorized Representatives to designate WIPS access for more than one Apprenticeship Grant. Please use this form for Apprenticeship Grants only; do not use this form for other ETA grants (e.g., H-1B) to request WIPS access. Grantees should submit the form to the following email addresses and cc the FPO:
  • SAEEI Grantee Performance Accountability and Reporting Webinar – September 2021 webinar covering the importance of accountability and performance reporting in grants management, as well as SAEEI-specific and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) indicators of performance.
  • Apprenticeship Grants: Revised Reporting Requirements – July 2021 webinar covering changes in the required data collection elements, how grantees should report on each data element, and a new Quarterly Narrative Report (QNR) template.
  • WIPS Training: A 5-part series – December 2020 series developed to prepare grantee reporting teams from ASE, SAE 2020, and YARG grants to utilize WIPS to report participant data.
