A new technical assistance Innovation Cohort opportunity focused on increasing diversity of apprenticeship participants will be launching in mid-February.

The Innovation Cohort will look broadly at challenges and opportunities related to increasing diversity of apprenticeship participants and explore a more focused challenge question: How might we effectively recruit and retain one or more underrepresented worker demographic groups within targeted apprenticeship growth occupations in our state?

Participating states should expect to participate in six virtual cohort meetings and spend approximately 2-3 hours per week on state specific action learning “assignments” between meetings. The six 60- to 90-minute webinars will start on February 18 and continue through May 19.

Please click here to register online by Wednesday, January 22, 2020. If more than eight states apply, Maher & Maher and the Office of Apprenticeship will prioritize selection of teams that demonstrate engagement and readiness by including concrete challenge and success statements in their registration form.
